Fortnite Update and Third-Party Software Status: How Do You Check Compatibility?

Closed thread Closed by archive

How are you guys checking software status after a big Fortnite update?

I keep seeing old videos and screenshots being shared around without any indication of which game version they actually show.

That's not very helpful when you're trying to understand whether a product is currently maintained.

I think providers should have a simple status page with things like:
- Current published compatibility information.
- Date of the last status update.
- Whether maintenance is ongoing.
- Known limitations.
- Support contact information.
It doesn't need to be complicated.

I'd rather see a product marked as unavailable or under maintenance than see an old advertisement pretending everything is normal.

Anyone else agree?

YES. Date the screenshots and demonstrations.

A video from six months ago tells me nothing about today's compatibility.

The last updated date should be visible on the product page. Pretty basic stuff.

I usually check the provider's announcements first. Random Discord messages aren't always reliable.

Same. An actual published status is much easier to verify.

One other thing: don't assume a Fortnite patch automatically means your account has a ban or that your PC is broken.

Compatibility issues and account enforcement are separate matters.

Could also use a little history.

Something like previous maintenance notices with dates. Helps people understand whether a page is being maintained.

Old YouTube tutorial:

"WORKING 2024!!!"

Video description: links no longer exist.

Classic.

LMAO. The internet needs a mandatory expiration date for outdated tutorials.
